Agile certifications have revolutionized the way software development and project management work. They have also increased the demand for IT professionals who are familiar with the methodology and its many flavors, including Scrum, Lean, and Scaled Agile. There are many certifications that can be used to test your knowledge and compete with others using the framework.
PMI-ACP
The Agile Certified Practitioner (ACP), from the Project Management Institute, is for project managers whose organizations use or are using agile practices. The PMI-ACP certifies that certification holders have real-world experience in managing agile projects and are familiar with various subsets of agile methods such as Scrum, Kanban and Lean. To maintain their certification, those who earn the certification must earn at minimum 30 professional development units (PDUs).
APMG International
APMG International, a globally renowned organisation, offers a variety of agile project management certifications. The main goal of this certification is to benchmark project managers’ ability to deliver agile projects in organizations that require standards, benchmarks, and visibility around the agile framework. APMG International offers certifications for structured program management and agile project management. A certificate for Dynamic Systems Development Method users is also available. This agile project management and delivery framework is completely provider-free.
Strategyex Certificate in Agile
Twenty Eighty Strategy Execution, an online learning company, offers either an Associate or Masters Certificate for structured practices. The Associate’s certificate requires you to complete three courses in two years. It highlights your agile knowledge. To demonstrate your knowledge and expertise in the subject, you will need to take seven courses over a period of four years for the Master’s level certificate. Only Master’s-level certificate holders can add credentials after their names. Twenty Eighty also offers courses for individuals interested in Agile project and product management as well as estimation and planning.
International Consortium for Agile (ICAgile).
The International Consortium for Agile is an agency that offers complex agile certifications. It helps to develop expertise in all agile ‘flavors’, including Scrum, eXtreme Programming, Kanban, and so forth.
To assess and evaluate candidates’ knowledge and ability within Agile, there are three levels of certification: Expert, Professional, and Master.
